Easy, Quick, Ribby scarf pattern?I would usually Google first before asking, but does anyone know of a quick, easy knit ribbed scarf pattern? I want to avoid 2x2 rib and I'm ideally looking for a slipped rib and garter stitch combo. I have about two balls of Patons Symphony (which is a chunky yarn) and though that I just might be able to whizz up a quick scarf for a friend for Christmas ---- but I only have about five days before I see her!!
Failing finding a rib pattern I could always use tried and trusted feather and fan

I was going to suggest that when the phone rang, and I was rabbiting to DD for half an hour!!
It's so easy and looks great. You just have to try your needle size to get the effect you like.

I cast on straight after I posted here and have knitted 13cm already without trying very hard I'm using 8mm needles and the slip rib pattern I found and it's quite straightforward.
I tried to take a photo but it's almost dusk here today and the camera flash is distorting the textured effect of the scarf in the photo.
edited to add: it's a bargain knit as well - I got the yarn in a Karma swap so it cost me nothing!!
