DK yarn for a boyDs(7) loves my handknits  He has seen a sublime pattern he likes made with their organic merino.I guess this would sub as it is dk weight. Has anyone have any suggestions for a yarn that is nice to knit with and not too pricy. We like the Sirdar Click range but have already used all of the colours he likes in this.

I love DROPS Karisma in DK, which is by Garnstudio. You can get it in the UK from Scandinavian Knitting Design. It is pure new superwash wool, there are loads of lovely colours and it is very reasonably priced - £2.10 for 50g. I would also add that SKD are very friendly and efficient, and their parcels arrive superfast!

What about the Stylecraft Life DK ?? I haven't tried it but a few peeps on here have and say it's nice - similar to Click and machine wash at about £2 or less per 100g ball.
