Death by Socks 3

Sign ups end tomorrow ,(on the Yahoo group).
Don't know if I'll bother this time, after the muck up caused by the postal strikes, and the fact that I have yet to frog the enormous socks I received Sad

I would just snuggle up on the sofa and knit something nice for yourself instead....

I agree with n. Smile Sounds like too much pressure, too little fun for me. At least if you make your own, you know they'll fit!

I would rather have my eyeballs gouged out with DPNs than take part in this!

After my experience on the Monkey Sock Swap, I haven't had even an email since the beginning of November (after the deadline) from my swap pal, I won't venture off forum for swaps etc now. You've spoiled me here Wink Very Happy

Besides I heard that some people knit loads of socks and some got zilch but stress for their efforts, it's way too stressful anyway as post is absolute rubbish still here. Sad

I totally agree & you get to chose the yarn/pattern combination.

I agree.  I wouldn't bother either.  I did Sockapalooza last year and got nothing at all for my efforts - the person I knit for didn't even let me know if she'd received them, the person who was knitting for me never sent my socks on, despite e-mailing to say she would finish them.  I was then promised a sock saviour to knit socks for me, but they didn't show up either.  So, I was total sockapal-loser!  Evil or Very Mad   It's put me off doing any more off-forum swaps.

It would put me off too.
