Current Lace ProductsJust thought I'd show you a couple of photos of my current lace projects:
This is for a friends birthday at the end of June and is the Swallowtail shawl from Interweave Knits Fall 2006. The yarn is worked double, (Yarntree House 100% Merino) which I dyed myself but the colour is too busy for the pattern so when I've finished I will over-dye the shawl......
This is for mum's birthday (which was January  ) and is from the VLT book - The beginner shawl and is being worked in Rennaisance Yarns crewel wool.......
This is the most recent finished lace project and was a friend's birthday at the beginning of the month and was again from Interweave Knits and is Trellis Scarf. The yarn came from the Ukraine via ebay (worked double) and is 50% wool & 50% acrylic.

Oh they all look lovely!
What colour had you in mind for over-dyeingthe swallowtail? The colours in the yarn are gorgeous, but you are probably right, you do want the lace to "speak" too.

AM going to overdye with pink, then hopefully should get different shades of pink.....
The scarf was in Spring 2006 IK it's an Evelyn A Clark design... she's my favourite lace deisgner

Ooh, that sounds delicious, I look forward to seeing the final result.
I'm very impressed with those of you who have more than one lace project on the go at any given time!!

They are all beautiful...I love the scarf. Well done for having more one thing on the go...i'd be getting bits of trellis in my swallowtail

not too bad Piglottie, am on the 2nd lily border it's not a bad pattern to do.... I do love Evelyns patterns though.....

page 56... there's a pink & white version. The pink version is the one I'm doing as it's not as big... Just lots of different patterns so you don't get bored!!!!
