crochet project in progress

I got the urge to pick up a crochet hook again last night, been focused on knitting for rather a long time but crochet is just as much a thing for me as knitting is. I thought I'd post up to share my progress, hope that's OK! I've started on the crochet sweater in the August issue of Knit Today, which is actually taken from Colinette's Parisienne book - it's called Clery and it's the 12th design here. I'm using some laceweight I bought from CJ rather than fork out for Parisienne so have gone up a hook size to 3mm to get the right tension, but I think it's coming along OK.

and a close-up:

It'll definitely be a long-term, ongoing project though - not a quick finish Laughing

thanks guys! Very Happy I wasn't completely sure when I started out on it, but the more I do the more I like it so I think I'll press on. Makes a nice change from knitting too, more easily pick-up-and-put-down-able Very Happy

Thanks everyone Very Happy

It's a bit further along now, but not very much - it's good for picking up and just doing a bit here and there when I don't have the time or energy for a whole row of knitting! Very Happy

I really like the look of that - not sure how well I could crochet an item of clothing though. The colour looks amazing!

Oh that is lovely FC, you are clever. I like crochet too but I'm not so advanced as you
