Colinette JitterbugIts a bit late because I have knitted one sock and there doesn't seem a lot of yarn is left for the 2nd. and weighing the yarn hasn't done much good - I think my scales are wrong!
I seem to remember someone posting about this before re jitterbug yarn. Can someone remember if you do get two plain knit socks out of a hank?
I haven't grafted the toe just in case!

I haven't finished any in it yet but yes you can JUST!! You need to keep the cuffs short I think tho - if you look at the pattern on the ballband you'll see the cuffs are much shorter than the Opal pattern.

Ah thats what I thought - I used the Opal pattern!
I think my socks may have different colured toes

Well that's an alternative to frogging. But wait and see what other peeps say first!!

I think Jitterbug does run shorter than a lot of other sock yarns as it is very tightly spun. I have just squeezed a 20 row rib, 50 row ss cuff, 40 row ss foot pair on 60 stitches on 2.25mm needles out of a ball with a few yards left over. With most other brands I can manage a 60 row ss cuff and have plenty left over.
What colour are you using? If it's the same as mine you are welcome to my leftovers if you need them.

Thanks Jane. I might just about do it. I have done 15 rows rib, 55 rows cuff, 40 rows foot, on 2.5 needles.
I used shade 55 Toscana.
I am knitting them as a birthday present and I am definitely NOT frogging them!

Now that's just spooky! I am using Toscana too - so if you do run out I have two tiny balls of yarn which might make the difference if you need it.

Thanks very much Jane for your offer I shall be in touch with you if I run out of yarn

I've knit serveral pairs of jitterbug socks, and just manage to squeak out the get knitted pattern from the lighter skeins, but plenty left over from the later heavier skeins. I knit 73 rows on cuff, 18 gusset, 48 foot and 18 toe. HTH.
