With three new patterns from Chicknits this autumn, and a fair few of us buying the patterns, I thought we could have some sort of ChicKnits Knitalong.

You can knit any ChicKnits design in any yarn and still be a part of this!

I'm definitely in!!! I am knitting a Ribby Cardi in the yarn and colours of the pattern - done the back, one front and almost one sleeve!!

And am planning to maybe cast on for Cassidy or the plain hoodie soon Razz

I plan to join in with this at some point, I have Cassidy and Ariann that I'd love to make, and also the new hoodie with the lace panels that isn't out yet Very Happy

Should be good for knitting from stash too.

After a few days dithering, I've just downloaded the pattern for Cassidy. And as I didn't have any suitable yarn in stash, I've been to my LYS this afternoon and bought some Sublime cashmere merino silk aran in shade 0015 - Clipper - a gorgeous deep blue.

I was quite tempted by shade 0062 - a beautiful deep purple - which would be just right for Ariann ( yup, I downloaded that pattern too! Rolling Eyes

It doesn't matter that you have no time Cathie - I'm not going to gave much time either come 26th August but I'm still in!

eta - That sounded really harsh - what I meant was it's not an official knitalong and it won't matter if you only knit a few rows a week.... I will be busier than a busy person come 2th August and I'm still doing the knitalong cos I woul like to knit a Chicknits thing. So please do join in!

This one shows the cables really well .....

..... but the colour is spot on in this one.

It's a lovely pattern and I'm really enjoying it. Another 3 inches and I'll be ready for the armholes. Smile

Note that the site doesn't accept Paypal from non-US accounts (which I think is a recent change cos I'm sure I used PP for Cassidy) but there is a normal CC option too.

I tried to buy it yesterday DC and I thought the same Confused

In fact I went and looked at my paypal a/c and I USED to be US Verified and now I'm not Confused

And couldn't find any info on the paypal site about doing that!!

It's a lovely pattern tho - will just have to dig my card out I think Laughing

I have had a message from Bonne Marie on Ravelry! She heard about our ChicKnits KAL on CT'n'Y and that there seemed to be something up with Paypal, and has now fixed the problem ("international" Paypal wasn't working for some reason). She asked if I could let everyone know which I am duly doing Very Happy

My Cassidy is coming along nicely now - I've finished the back and two fronts, am halfway through the sleeves (knitting both together), so just the hood to go. Very Happy

I'm *hoping* I'll be wearing it at iKnit in 2 weeks time.

Paypal working fine now on Chicknits site - just downloaded the Basic Hoodie and may cast on this evening. I'm a bit worried about all in one from the neck down though - I've never knitted anything like that before Confused

Maybe I should start with the Ribbi Cardie cos i have the pattern for that as well!

- I'm doing Wicked and it's like that and it's great!! It's the first time I've tried. The rows take a while but I'm really enjoying it and you can easily adjust for your size as you can try on as you go Razz

Just think - no sewing up!!!!
