Anyone remember The Human League?I do!
I had my hair cut last week - it's still a Posh bob style - you know long at the front sides, short and cropped into my neck at the back. I tucked one long bit behind my ear this afternoon- instant Human League 'do'!!
I've been singing "Don't you want me baby" non-stop ever since; trouble is, I only ever sing one line.....
All I need is a black cocktail dress and lots of eyeliner to go to work in tomorrow - result!

I saw Kajagoogoo in concert at the Guildhall, Portsmouth
Human League, Come on Ilene - I was a dancer in a club in Portsmouth, the US Fleet were in and it was the end of the Falklands War, the sailors kept putting the song on over and over .....
Alison Monet, Duran Duran, Jimmy Somerville, Kate Bush are a couple of others I can think of .......

Erm, GS, I think we were both probably there on both those occasions ..... definitely the Kajagoogoo concert, and I was a regular in most of the Portsmouth nightclubs around that time .... (regular attendee for drinks and dancing I mean - free entry for laydees, that kinda thing. Not regular for sailors!)

You could be right, Franney
As FatCat will support me in this - sailors took you mind off the important things in life. However just like FC I never got caught by one, all my friends including my sister are all married to sailors - but not me.

yeah, Franney's right. It's easy to get those 80s tunes confused, especially at our age ...
Oh yes, sailors. The Americans were the most polite, struck up conversation, bought you drinks and didn't automatically expect something in return. Those were the days, when the fleet was in port. When there actually was a major naval port for the fleet to be in ... But don't get me started on that one
