I like that cricket sweater but I don't know that I would use the yarn suggested due to the volume of acrylic in it. |

I have tried my LYS which is a Wendy retailer and quote "we have hardly sold any wool this winter, no interest in knitting, so we are not going to buy any of the new stock in" 
I have looked around the web to try and find a shade card for Pure. I know the colours are listed on the above site but I wanted to see the colours before buying, can anybody help please? I am aiming to knit pattern 5355. |

Wootton Bassett sells Sirdar, no this is the Wroughton shop near Ridgeway School.

To be honest, our business has slowed down a bit too. The scarfies have moved on to something else and with the weather getting warmer, it's hard to justify wool. It's very frustrating but I think that people will always knit.
There may not be a call for "wool" per se, but I'm sure there will be call for other fibers, such as bamboo and tencel and cotton... |

Grannysmith, I'm in the same boat, my local stockist of Wendy has never hard of Pure or Mode  & has no intention of stocking the Pure as she's got Sirdar Just Bamboo. If I ever track it down I'll pop it on here, the colours on the pattern pics look really nice too!

So she will be talking about all sort of yarns not just pure wool. But I have to say the LYS has all the yarn behind the counter so you can't get at it. Make it more modern with better lighting, get some better patterns in and generally make the place welcoming and we would do much better !!

I'm on the look out for stockists - I like a couple of the patterns - I see that RKM Wools have the Mode Yarn in stock - but no patterns yet - so am watching their site to see if they do the bamboo one too - watching E Kemp too although nothing there yet ... |

I emailed Kemps yesterday, they also say they probably won't be getting it as they have Just Bamboo! |

If I go to my LYS in Perth I'll look tomorrow but they don't have the Sirdar Bamboo so probably not getting that either  .

OK folks, I've just this second got off the phone from Wendy... they haven't had delivery of Pure yet, therefore not in any shops yet, which will explain the difficulty!!! |
