From 14 to 27 September 2007, my friend Charlotte will be undertaking an arduous sponsored trek in Peru to raise money for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity and in memory of her dearest friend, Georgie, who passed away last year. I am holding these auctions to help Charlotte reach her target of £8,000 before she sets off – and every penny of the auction total will go to the charity as Charlotte has already covered the cost of the trek herself. For more details, visit Charlotte's blog at http://sendingtheprincessofpurpletoperu.blogspot.com/

Auction 2 - Lace Knitter Booty

This auction has been donated by me, (well, Terri as well as she sent the yarn as a gift but doesn't mind me auctioning it) Smile

This is a delightful little set of goodies for any lace knitter and includes the following delicious booty:

1 x 100g/1200m of Fyberspates laceweight yarn (90% wool/10% nylon), hand dyed in colourway Ocean, a beautiful blend of turquoise and sea blue.

An original (not photocopy) Fiber Trends Leaf Lace Shawl pattern (there is enough yarn in the auction to knit this pattern).

A cute litte drawstring bag from My Little Fashion House. It measures approx 30cm x 20cm and is made in a retro cotton fabric in shades of turquoise, with colourful stripes. It would make a great sock bag or small project bag.

2 x handmade cards from Piglottie Productions

*******************************

The auction will finish on Sunday 9 September at 7.30pm. Payment is by the Justgiving website only (secure online payment but if you have a problem, please pm me) and must be made by Tuesday 11 September at 7.30pm The auction includes postage so please bear this in mind when bidding.

I think the reason that people cant see the pics is because we are having problems with our local service provider (Kingston, only available in our area) and the photos are saved on MrP's site which is on the Kingston server. This is why one minute you can see them and the next you cant, as the site is playing up intermittently.

I have loaded the pics on to flickr for people to view and hope this helps:

Sorry about this but it is something out of my control, and thank you to the people who have placed bids unseen Smile

Current Bid: £16 with Janice

I have been asked to put a bid in by someone who isn't a member of the forum (if she wins, you can check on Charlotte's Justgiving page to see the payment received for the auction).

Claire bids £35.00

Btw, the auction finishes tomorrow (Sunday) at 7.30pm so if you wanna bid, you need to get in quick Smile
