Just managed to get this organised for the end of July Smile This month, I'm doing something slightly different in that I would like to split the proceeds of the auction between two charities. Half I would like to go to help raise money for Charlotte's trek to Peru in aid of the Rainbow Trust (if you don't know what I'm talking about, see this post http://craftythreadsnyarns.myfreeforum.org/about2167.html or my blog http://piglottie.blogspot.com/). The other half I would like to go towards Terri's charity sponsorship for the Great North Run in aid of the Toby Henderson Trust who have helped her niece Jasmine so much (and Terri has donated the yarn so I think its only fair) Smile

This is my penultimate auction and as we are trying to help two charities this month, and we have some amazing stuff, please be as generous as you are able Very Happy

*******************************

Look at this stunning, very huge skein of much sought after Fleece Artist yarn very kindly donated by Terri (thank you very much hun). Its so beautiful in real life and is called Silk Stream - a blend of 50% wool, 30% silk, 20% nylon. It is so soft and very luxurious to touch. The skein is in subtle shades of lilac, blue, pink, cream and biscuit. All the words I try to think of to describe this yarn just dont do it justice but think weathered seaside town shades Smile There is a very generous 250g/600m and it is hand dyed yarn by Fleece Artist in Canada. This yarn is now discontinued so is very hard to get hold of, and you have so much choice as to what you could make with it - I think Terri has made a top; a gorgeous shawl or what about a Clapotis? Search blogger or if you're lucky Ravelry and I'm sure you will find lots of inspiration. Btw, I sooooooooo want to keep this yarn but shall be very good Smile

Also included in this auction as if the yarn itself isn't enough Very Happy , is this exclusive shawl pin designed and crafted by Blossom. She has really excelled herself this month. This beautiful shawl pin is crafted from Sterling Silver and Amethyst, and as it's lightweight would be more suited to laceweight or 4ply. And not only is it very beautiful but its also unique and who knows if or when you might ever get another chance to get your sticky little mitts on a Blossom design Smile Thank you Blossom for being so generous.

You are bidding on both items as one lot. The auction will close at 7.30pm on Sunday 5 August. Happy bidding! Very Happy

Just thought I'd add that although this pin is meant for lightweight pieces knitted in lace and 4ply, it is still very strong but flexible so you can reposition the pin etc...I will send a photo of it 'in use' to the winning bidder and instructions! Smile

Of course perhaps if we are unlucky, we may be able to persuade Blossom to expand (!) and make some jools for us all.

Hmmmmm.....I'm pretty well expanded at the mo Laughing...but I might be persuaded...I have lots of ideas for shawl/cardy pins but I wasn't sure people would really be interested in buying them...I'd so love to get my little jewellery business going again! Smile
