This is one of a series of cushion covers I have been appliqeing during the course of the year.

It was made for my sister's boy Matthew and it says Matthew both ways up in a very stylised way.

It was difficult to find fabrics that I thought a teenage boy would like - especially in my local quilt shop which tends to specialise in either flowery stuff or novelty stuff. But they do some very lovely hand-dyed fabrics and the black fabric has quite an industrial texture.

It was great fun to design and put together.
