Haven't visited the forum for a while - or blogged for that matter - but I've just got to shout about the 'K-TOG' from the rooftops! The Bovey Tracey Stitch n Bitch group (which meets once a month in the Terrace Cafe at the Guild of Devon Craftsmen on the first Sunday) is holding a Knitting Exhibition to help celebrate National Knitting Week. Alongside the exhibition will be a Stitch n Bitch cafe with tea and cakes, and lots of yarn and knitting needles to play with (of course). We'll also be having workshops - felting and sock making (the latter with our own ANNIKEN!!!!) - and demos of spinning and dyeing. Joyce (proprieter of our own wonderful LYS, Spin-a-yarn) is going to have a stall there with lots of luscious yarns and bargains. I'm hoping it'll be great fun! Entrance is £1 - with all proceeds going to South Devon Women's Aid. OH yes, where? Lustleigh villlage Hall, LUstleigh, Nr Newton Abbot, Devon, Sunday October 21st, 1-5pm
The more volunteer knit gurus the better.
more info? give me a call on 01647 277570

It sounds like great fun, and like Franney, I wish I were near enough to come along.
I'm sure it will be a great success. _________________

I'm really looking forward to this. I keep checking your blog, Terri. Get back to blogging. Joyce has the most gorgeous yarns. I'm going up again to her knitting group on the first Tuesday in October and can't wait to see what new yarns Joyce has this time. Always seem to be something new every time I go up.
As well as teaching a sock workshop at the 'K-tog' event, I'm also teaching a sock workshop and lace workshop at Spin A Yarn during the autumn. (www.spinayarndevon.co.uk) HOpe you don't mind me mentioning that on this thread, Terri. _________________ www.annisknittingblog.blogspot.com - My Blog

Of course I don't mind! I can recommend Spin-a-yarn workshops, not the least for Joyce's cooking...
