...have been started and will be coming on holiday with me along with another couple of patterns yet to be chosen....packing has commenced. This is a first for me too as I'm doing the Magic Loop method and love it! I thought I was only a dpn girl but I think I'm converted.

The yarn is my own hand dyed from last year when I played about a bit with KoolAid. It started off in blues and yellow but then got overdyed with strawberry when I wasn't sure whether I liked my splodgy effect. Now I have nice heathery colours subtle enough not to detract from Anni's lovely spirals. I think I'll be taking at least 2 more balls of sock yarn with me so who knows how many socks I'll come back with Laughing

We go to my uncle's in Spain. The family use it in the Summer whilst he's back home over here as he doesn't like the searing temperatures Cool

He's got his own pool and the beach is only a short 5 minute stroll away. He's Mum's brother, never married and no children so he's always spoilt both me and my sister, just like having a second dad! The only thing we have to pay for is our flights which these days, if you get in early enough, you can get great deals on. Some years it's cheaper for us to go there than it is to have a holiday at home!

Lovely socks and gorgeous colour. Where in Spain does your uncle live? My parents have a flat on Costa Blanca, south of Torrevieja and I love going there. Same as you, just flights and hire car to pay for. We're not going this year though but I wish we were. Have a lovely holiday. socks are perfect knitting for a hot country. Very Happy
