Shocked oops, I've just discovered a courgette that is the size of a marrow, does anyone know if it is still edible and should I cook it as a marrow Rolling Eyes

I'd stuff it & treat it as a marrow.

oh definately still edible, but do treat as a marrow, it will not have quite the same flavour, they loose it as they get bigger but ideal for stuffing and roasting.

If it's the size of a marrow then it is a marrow Laughing
Courgettes are just small marrows after all Wink

We've grown some of the round courgettes this year - We already had a couple in the kitchen which we picked at the weekend. last night OH came in with yet another one. They're about a double D cup I reckon hahaha! If my leg is behaving later I'm going to turn them into soup Smile

I've had a couple of those round courgettes in my veggie box recently. I just cut them up and used them as curgettes - any suggestions for stuffing them girls?

Mmm I wondered about stuffing the round ones too - they're kinda cool! I thought you could cut the top off, take the seedy bit out and stuff them with cous cous then stick the lid back on, wrap it in foil and bake in the oven for a while? Or I might just make soup haha!

And Franney I wasn't sure if courgettes became marrows when they got too big, and I've been growing veggies for years Embarassed
