I started these for hubby when he picked the stitch pattern out of one of the Harmony Guides. Who'd have thought I'd ever catch him with a knitting book!
I made a mistake, so I pulled in back to where I'd gone wrong. I was putting it back on the needles when I decided I'd rip the lot out, and start on something else instead. I'll use the same yarn, which is Regia 4-Ply, and I'll make sure DH has another pair before the end of the month. I'm just not sure yet which pattern I'll be using since I'm a bit disenchanted with this one.

It's not really that I dislike the pattern, but it bugs me so much that it's not symmetrical on the instep. It doesn't look awful, or anything; it's just one of my many "Ali Things".
I knew from the start it would be like that, of course, but DH liked it so much, I didn't have the heart to say no. I do feel a bit mean now for ripping out the whole sock, so I will make him a pair in this pattern in the future—probably when I'm too busy obsessing over something else for this to bother me as much. _________________ My Blog: Put a Sock in it |

Oh, dear! Did you figure out where the extra stitches came from?
I've started another sock for hubby, so at least he won't feel that my tantrum was directed towards him. _________________ My Blog: Put a Sock in it |

Think I picked up too many on the heel flap.
Never had it happen before, but, it was when I was off sick from work so maybe not thinking straight.
Oh well Dh will have to wait till I have finished dads and my lacy one. _________________ Fi, The Beach Babe |

Awww, that's a shame, it was looking good, but i know what you mean about having things lined up properly, if you had left it, it would have just bugged you!
