I went on a spinning workshop today at GK run by Jeni from Fyberspates. It was lovely, and I met up with Katt 94 which was nice.
I think I get on as well with spinning as I do with crochet
Jeni was really patient actually as I just couldn't get the hang of "dropping" at all Then a lovely fellow workshop attendee let me play with her Golding Spindle which was LOVELY - funnily enough I didn't want to give it back. I could have practiced being not very good for hours with that
I have photos, but as it's late I'll add some tomorrow.
I don't think I'll be putting any spinners out of business in the near future

Joy, it's the "dropping it" bit that I do very well. As for the "spinning", well the least said the better .... _________________ www.allknittingnosleeping.blogspot.com

sounds fun.
I have a golding spindle - it's by far the easiest out of mine to spin with, so it's worth investing in good gear. I have a bosworth mini too which is lovely. _________________ Ravelry ID ~ ChristinaJL |

It certainly sounds like an interesting day.
I didn't like drop-spindling until I got a spindle that suited me, but now I have two that I enjoy working with. They were made by this man.
