I'm going to post these:
They are the very first pair of socks I ever made, back in April this year. I had never worked on dpns before, and had never even considered making socks, but was inspired to give it a try by the enthusiasm of fellow online knitters. I was so proud when I got them finished! Since then I've never looked back, made many more pairs of socks and nearly always have one OTN.
They're in Opal Dreamcatcher. There was a break in the yarn on the first sock which lost an entire stripe, there should be a purple one just after the heel, and I went to great pains to make sure that the second sock matched. I made them for me, they're mine

I made my first pair of socks for myself about 2 yrs ago, they have a line of holes down each heel where I misunderstood wrap and turn and I could have sewn them up but never got round to it, I still wear them and would take a photo but they're in the washing machine right now. I will do it later when they are dry, I have no problem with showing my mistakes, I learn from them (after swearing a lot ) _________________ Current wips-too many to list

Isn't strange how attached we have all got to our frst pair! These are fab. I'd love to see a thread of pics of washing lines all covered with our first and subsequent pairs. Anni can have some of my spare line though ... I can't keep up with your nifty fingers
