It needs a *little* attention but it's on a gorgeous, family-friendly site I've started a new blog and posted lots of pics, if you fancy a look!

Ooh you lucky thing! Lots of potential there - and a lot of hard work ahead I reckon too! Wish I had time to have an allotment. There's a waiting list in our village at the mo. _________________ Sharon |

Oh that is awesome. I am SO happy for you, *cheering*
If you want some encouragement, there's a blog I read here that might keep you on the straight and narrow.

Wicked! I would love an allotment but i struggle to keep the garden under control so it's probably not a good idea! Wishing you lots of luck with it _________________

that is fantastic, you will have it cleared in no time, I said on your blog to see if you have an allotment association, ( ours is £3 a year ) they often have power tools to help with clearing, super strimmers, loppers ect. _________________ www.brightdyes.wahmall.co.uk

Thanks everyone
I was already a member of our allotment assoc (it's open to all local gardeners ) so I will be checking out whether they have any tools or discounts at hire shops available. Even if they don't, I've got a quote of £23 to hire a petrol hedge trimmer for a week from a shop just down the road (more flexibility of use than a strimmer) which seems pretty reasonable!
