I think my shoalwater has to be my project of the year 2006. It is not the first lace I have ever done, but it is the first lace shawl and the first lace I did using a chart, and it has given me a taste for lace knitting which I fully expect to pursue in 2007

Carola its stunning! I love it and the colours you've chosen. This is going to be my next lace project (probably to start in Feb) now that I've finally chosen the yarn! (CTH Merino Lace in River Run for Christmas from MrP). |

Thank you all, and yes I do like to snuggle in it now!
Piglottie the other thing I remember about it was how much I enjoyed knitting it, the colours were so nice and the pattern wasn't too hard. I'm sure you will enjoy knitting yours too, CTH merino lace is lovely stuff.
It was probably the first thing I ever knitted that wasn't just to be useful but was also because it was beautiful. And it won't be the last
