I am confused Confused

I am trying to scn some old photos for a blog post tomorrow and I can't seem to make them do do what I want them to. All I can manage is a copy of the photo in it's originl size with the rest of the A4 background round it iyswim.

How do I get a photo to scan so that it will fill the whole space?

Hi Joy,
the scanner usually has preset profiles which you can choose when you start teh scan, one of which is Colour photo. My old canner had a sort of mask you put on which was black so only the photo showed, and the scanner realised that this was the thing to scan. But I think that the scanner will do a prescan and at that stage you can change the scan area in the preview window, so that when it does the full scan it will only scan the photo.

Once you have the file, the size of the photo is determined by the application you use to print it out. You should be able to set the size to as close as it will go on A4.
