hi here is my exhibit. it is a book mark, dimensions approximately 10 inches by 2 inches.
i made it for a friend at work. when i asked her what she would like me to make she said a "book mark". i asked her for an inspiration and she said "the moon and the stars".
it was a challenge to make something small and i wanted it to be a little unexpected. i decided to make people out of stars, they would be reaching towards each other with stars between them. the moon was then quilted between them too. i enjoy making one off things for people. my friend really liked the book mark and uses it all the time.

| That is lovely. I really like the effect of quilting but not something I do myself. |

The bookmark is truly inspired and such a thoughtful, beautiful present. Maybe a quilted bookmark might be a good place for a beginner (ie moi!) to start? Any chance of a masterclass Carolinne |

That's absolutely beautiful! I love the colours, and the people reaching out to each other across the sky. It reminds me of a painting with people flying, I think it was by Marc Chagall.
It's really lovely, and your friend is so lucky to have a friend like you _________________
