I'm putting together a kind of 'bottom drawer' of sewing bits for DD (nothing like being prepared, she's 16 but I figured it could go to uni with her too ) and if she does Textiles A level as she's hoping, she might like to have her own bits.
I spotted a Daisy Pincushion pattern which I rather liked so using the remains of the fat quarter that DD chose for her GCSE final piece, I conjured up a matching needlecase too
Then decided the pincushion was too big, so made a mini version as well.

What a brilliant idea! I remember rushing round at the last minute putting an emergency mend-it kit together for DD2. DD1 and DS had to wing it I'm afraid (what kind of mother am I eh?) _________________
