Is it just me, or have the runner beans gone on a sprint this year? We havent had much of a crop of anything else, but our runner beans are multiplying before our eyes. I spent ages topping, tailing, cutting and freezing beans this morning.

I like beans - which is just as well - but there seem to be thousands this year.

I love runner beans - could quite easily eat a pile of them with butter and pepper on just by themselves...

Hmm, I feel left out - mine have barely got off their starting blocks. Evil or Very Mad They seem to be picking up a bit now, but I think the cold and rain, together with the slugs haven't given them much of a chance.

And I love them too. A large pile with parmesan on top!
