I've finally found the toe up technique for me I love going toe-up but hadn't found the perfect heel so sometimes went cuff down but was then fed up to have loads of yarn left over. The problem is now solved
These were knitted in Bergère de France Cho'7 on 2.5mm needles. The yarn was a bit splitty to work but lovely to wear & washes well.

Thanks everyone. I just had a need for a pair of red socks & they fit the bill perfectly. I've already started another pair with the same pattern in the most beautiful yarn
