For some reason my dd's pram doll's pram has no mattress. I have basic sewing skills and a machine.Any advice it on how to make one, i thought about using that polyester type wadding as it doesn't need to be very deep.
Help!
Thanks.

Ring a computer shop and see if they have any sponge that they would be throwing away about 1.5 cm deep and then cut to the size of the mattress. (I suggest making a newspaper template first, for the size). If you need to cut sponge the easiest way is with a hot knife.
Then an old pillow case made narrower and shorter, which you can do by sewing two seams on the machine. The hand sew, slip stitch the open end when you have popped the sponge in.
Otherwise I would buy a piece of wadding 3 times the width and then fold into three, it will flatten quite a lot which is why I think 3 times will be about right, and using the same sewing idea but pop the wadding in.
Good luck
