Our tomato plants have got a few flowers on them now but I'm sure they were much more advanced this time last year - in fact I don't want to check back on my blog coz I think I'll be even more depressed. We need some sunshine!
Having said that, I've just picked a couple of lettuce and OH got a shock when he picked a radish - it's MASSIVE! I've taken a photo - will show later. It doesn't taste bad either - it's a long one rather than round. I think all the water has made them go nuts. Typical really - last year we were rubbish with the lettuce and raddish - this year our cucumbers are pathetic and the toms aren't much better

I have lots of tomato flowers but no actual toms yet. I was a bit late with my planting though.
I have quite a few cucumbers but as I've never grown them before, I don't know if they're behind or not!
I'm working on the theory that it'll be a sudden bumper harvest in a few weeks - ever the optimist!

I have a grand total of 3 tomato fruits, my spuds are doing fantastic, as has my lettuce, strawberries have been pants due to too much rain making their leaves grow rather than the fruits, goosegogs, radish, onions, peas, cabbage have all done and are doing really well.
spring onions, brussels, brocolli, toms, winter cabbage, and everything else planted have been attacked by either rabbits, slugs and the rain _________________ www.brightdyes.wahmall.co.uk

My stuff is doing pretty well, but I do have a garden that gets 24 hour sun (well ok that's silly, but as much sun as there is - it gets!) as there is nothing to shade it at all... so last year (and what with the hosepipe ban too) I had nothing whatsoever grow, in fact hardly even any weeds!!!!!!! I think it'll catch up when it warms up a bit, which I'm sure it will at some stage! _________________ Claire

My hanging toms have fruited...just not gone red yet, I blame the lack of sunshine...my moneymaker just has flowers, no fruit yet! My lettuces have done well...in fact I think some of them have bolted...spring onions look ace, as do the peas and carrots! _________________ Sarah

Ooh - we've got some pods on our peas (did I say that already?) - my spring onions are coming along but so slowly - i thought they grew quite quickly. _________________ Sharon |
