|
|
As you know my FIL has been very unwell and I've had a respite from the forum because of the accompanying running around. The only time I had for knitting was whilst I was at the hospital and started a pair of socks specifically for that purpose. They are in an unknown yarn probably Opal or Regia or the like. I'd made a pair of gloves back in Feb with the ball and wanted to know if I could get both gloves and socks out of the yarn. So I started toe up and knit until I had ran out. As you can see the answer is yes and here's the proof
I'm sorry I don't know how to get the pictures smaller (the size is 640x480)
Also where's the thread to enter all my June efforts into the draw. You know the one where you just post the pictures and nobody comments?

I don't think the thread is up yet CL don't worry.
That is one lovely pair of socks and beautifully matched and I love the little picot edging. _________________

Lovely socks and gloves!
I don't know about you, but I have memory associations with things I knit & sew - usually based on what I'm doing or watching on TV at the time - hope these are about recovery & not illness for you!

Thanks for your comments, I was rather hoping that my FIL would be out of hospital by the time I'd finished them but sadly he's still there and I don't want to tempt fate by starting pair #2! _________________
