This is a Pay It Forward thread.
If you have something to PIF, just add it to the thread.
If your profile is set to get email alerts, then you'll get a message whenever someone posts here and you can all dive in and have a rummage.
None of the items are for sale, and there is no expectation of swap or a gift or a card in return. Instead, just Pay It Foward, either on the forum, or somewhere else.
I have five skeins of Organic merino yarn to give away. They are the first skeins of this particular yarn I dyed when I was experimenting with this yarn at the beginning. They aren't yarns I will sell, but there's nothing actually wrong with them.
Three of them are Charcoal/orange/yellow combinations. They might be a bit blotchy in places, but would be fine for childrens' mittens or maybe a hat. They don't match, the spacings etc are different on each skein, so they wouldn't be any use for a single project if you want a matching appearance. They remind me of a slightly grubby Tiger! ONE LEFT
There is one skein of a kind of melon and peach colour. In an adult sock I think you'd get one stripe in each colour, but don't hold me to it. GONE
And there is one skein of purple lilac and green which has a smudge of charcoal on it. GONE.
Any takers? The intention is that this is for Christmas things rather than stash-adding, hope that's okay.
NB Not perfect yarn, but soft and snuggly nonetheless.

Thank you n. I'm sure I've got something I can add to this thread. Got to get my thinking cap on. It won't be the merino tencel which will arrive soon though. _________________ www.annisknittingblog.blogspot.com - My Blog

It doesn't matter what it is, yarn or spare cards from last year, or wrapping ribbon or books.... anything at all, and it doesn't need to be woolly or paid forward here, and we don't need to know what you give. It might be a few hours babysitting for a mum who can't get to the shops, or a lift to town for your neighbour.
For me, this is a statement of intent rather than having any monetary value.
I asked about dishcloth cotton the other day and FIVE of you offered and two are sending me enough to knit Fegrig and the boys a selection for their stockings, (I couldn't have taken up five offers, that wouldn't be right!) so this is just a PIF in return.
I haven't started lots of threads because in some ways it's more fun if it's all jumbled up together, I think! I've just added to the first post in this to say that if it all goes in one thread, we'll get email alerts whenever there is a new addition and we can come and have a rummage!
I also have...
One tiny book, only eight pages, called Busy Bear by John Prater.
And, Bookstart Baby's Musical Day - a cd of songs and rhymes by the Scottish Arts Council, still in cellophane wrapping.
Both of these were freebies given to Fegrig at a Bookstart event, brand new, and I'm not anticipating grandchildren quite yet!!!
These are First stage baby things, the kind which comes in your free Bookstart bag.
Pm or ask here, I don't mind.

I'll make this into a sticky so that it won't disappear amongst other stuff. A great thread N - thank you for starting it off for us. _________________ Melody's blog
