Hello everyone
Let me introduce myself. My name is Joy and in another life I used to knit! Goodness knows when
I have no idea where this week has gone! I started my new job on Tuesday ( more of that in a minute ) and the week has whizzed by. Yesterday morning I was hanging my washing out in the dark before I left for work and goodness knows when I will get it ironed. I haven't quite come to grips yet though with having a whole weekend off which is a novelty in itself
I absolutely love my new job, although my new routine is taking a little getting used to. I leave home at 7:30 4 mornings a week, if I do that I avoid the nightmare that is the Worcester southern relief road ( which knocks the M6 into a cocked hat I can tell you ) and it's been gone 6:30 on three evenings before I have got home. I am sleeping better, waking feeling refreshed, and just feel lighter somehow iykwim.
Mum is STILL in hospital. I really won't bore all of you with the ongoing saga that has been Social Services but sadly now it is evident that even with a full care package mum simply wouldn't be safe to be left alone overnight and will need 24 hour care. It's early days, and i have no idea where to start, but I am hoping to move her to care locally.
I haven't knitted a stich for what seems like weeks. I am sure I will soon settle into a routine, but there seems to be a lot to do at the moment. I am so much happier and settled though, it may have taken a long time and there may have been disappointments along the way, but finally I am doing what I love best.

That is really good to hear Joy. The main thing is feeling happy and better, everything else will settle. It is early days and you will get in the swing of it, sounds like long hours though but I can see what you mean re traffic. Hope you get things sorted out for your mum, it will help once you know she is okay. _________________ Liz |

Hello and welcome to our little home Joy. Can I ask, do you have a sister who looks and sounds incredibly like you?
Seriously, I'm glad your job's working out and you will take time to get usedto it but that will come. Sorry to hear about your Mum but agian you will conquer that problem too. Take Care and when time allows, pick up those pointy sticks. _________________

Glad the new job is proving enjoyable - it is difficult to find time for knitting when you are working long days - but I manage it somehow and I am sure you will too! Enjoy your weekends
