I'm taking a leaf out of Jane's book and will try and have three socks on the go at once, easy, medium and hard Shocked
I'm not sure if i'll finish them all this month but i'm going to give it a go!

So, first up are the third Sock Knitters Pentathlon socks, Rattlesnake Creek in a ball of Wolle Hartmuth that i think i got from CJ

Secondly, i have started the Muscari Socks that is the KAL pattern at the Socknitters group but a bit less progress on these. I am using Yarn Yard Bonny and i think the colourway is Dilly Dilly Confused

I haven't cast on the easy pair yet, but i will be using Violet Green sock yarn in the Allsorts colourway - i think Wink

Pictures are clickable for bigness and i have more details on my blog Very Happy

Thankyou Smile
I think i am in love with the Wolle Hartmuth Embarassed

Update: I have now cast on sock three - i am going for a toe-up so that i can do the foot stocking stitch and then if i feel the urge i can do the cuff with a pattern. It'll have to be a very strong pattern though as the Allsorts has very erm... STRONG colours in it Laughing

Thanks Jo Smile

Sock three has made it onto the needles!

Isn't it pretty!

I have another picture that i just love...

I should have stuck with this one instead of switching to the lace one when i thought i could concentrate... which was about two minutes before my Mum arrived and i put it down to open the door and when i picked it up i pulled a needle out Embarassed
I've dropped a stitch down about 5 rows and there are yarn overs in there too Sad
I really hope i can fix it as i will end up starting over if i don't and that will probably make me cry!! Sad

piccies are clickabubble Very Happy

Pictish, that's Violet Green, i think it's supersock, it's at least 18 months old if not more!! The colourway is "Allsorts" and that's all i can tell you!
Do you see now why i'm not sure about doing a pattern with it, i think the only thing that wouldn't get lost in it is a slipstitch pattern, maybe Confused Cool

YAY! Lace is fixed and another repeat done, one more to do for the cuff i reckon.

In case anyone else decides to knit this sock, unless you knit tight, or use really small needles or have large ankles you will need to reduce the number of stitches, leave out one motif, or maybe even two (7 or 14 stitches) cos it really is big.
I'm knitting mine on 2mm, and the cuff has about an inch of positive ease! I know i knit loose but there's no way i am going down any smaller!
Luckily i only wear a short cuff anyway so it's not likely to fall down too much but when i come to the foot i am going to leave off the last increase row so there are only 5 stitches per repeat and then carry the ribbing effect (5x2) down the foot to help draw it in a bit without fiddling with decreases.
