That caught you attention didn't it
I'm using my Breasty yarn, what were you thinking?
It's actually Pink Ribbon from the Yarn Yard last year, as it's Breast Cancer Awareness month i have decided to knit pink socks this month
Unfortunately things didn't go quite to plan, Nancy Bush said to cast on 80 stitches which i thought was a lot - i was right...
click for bigness
That's a 5" needle there for size comparison, i reckon it's at least 3" too big!
I will have to sit down with the pattern and see if i can shrink it
I will also have to get the hard brush on my poof and get rid of those pesky dog hairs!!

LOL! I was expecting some sort of nubbly pattern. Or something
Great colour! 80 stitches does seem a lot though, you sure there isn't a decrease row in the near future that'll take it down and give you a frilly edge? (I mean give the sock a frilly edge, although I'm sure if you want a frilly edge you can have one too ) _________________

*giggling* I have lots of frilly edges already
As for the pattern, nope, it's a straight cuff, very pretty, but i've done that wrong anyway! There's meant to be a yarn over at the end of each needle but i somehow put it at the beginning of the needle so what should be a straight row of eyelets has morphed into a curved row. I kinda like the patternt hough and am going to retart the sock and just use the spiralling eyelet pattern that i seem to have "unvented"
I really wanted to use my Brittanys too
ps i found this pic of the top of the cuff, it looks nothing like mine _________________

Ooh, I'm looking forward to seeing what your socks turn out like. I have some of that yarn in my stash too. _________________ Hawkesley

Oh well, no prizes for me as I thought it said Beasty!
Pretty yarn though. What's your tension? The pattern is for 9 spi. _________________ My Blog: Put a Sock in it |

Erm, tension? Erm... no idea
Even if i use 1.5mm i think 80 stitches will still be too big for me, and there's no way i have the patience to knit with such tiny needles either to be honest
I'm going to use my trusty 2mm and fudge the pattern and attempt the proper pattern another month as i am just too impatient to work it out
I'm loving the colouring, it's so delicate and so unlike me _________________

You could always keep the stitch count at 80, and send them to me!
I'm sure you'll work something out. The pattern is lovely.
