I am feeling quite excited today as I have booked myself on the Finishing Techniques Workshop at Laughing Hens in Burwash, East Sussex on 4 August. Very Happy

It sounds like a lovely day, with a nice lunch thrown in - I will have to be extra good diet wise the week before Laughing

I don't suppose there is a chance anyone else is going? There were still a couple of places when I booked mine today Very Happy

That sounds good Jo - it's the same day as the Colinette workshop but it would be too far for me anyway I think.

It will be interesting to hear about what you learn on the course. Hope you have a great day there.

Too far away for me although if there was something closer to Scotland I would snap it up as I feel it's my finishing that lets down my knitting.

I gave that one more than a passing thought Jo, until I realised that the date clashed with something else Sad

I'd be there like a shot - except we're in Wales then Sad

However..... Joy did you mention a Colinette workshop on August 4th?? I'm planning a trip to Colinette sometime during our holiday, so if John would consider going on August 4th I could meet up with you at Colinette for a cup of tea and a cake!!! Or at least a hug...... Wink

Is 4th August a Saturday?

Yes it is Debs, and they don't usually open on a Saturday but it's an open day too. I know Carola is hoping to go to Colinette that day, although not on the workshop.

I remember lots of photos on your blog last year with you and your boys on steam trains. Well Colinette is situated right next to Llanfair Station http://www.greatlittletrainsofwales.co.uk/welshpool.html so maybe you could combine the day, the boys would love it!

That's what I was thinking Joy Wink Laughing A quick trip into Colinette to experience the colour and texture, and then a relaxing trip on a steam train. Everyone will be happy that day!
