Hubby modelling sock #1.
The yarn is Dalegarn Falk in Copper, and is much richer in colour than it appears in this bleached-out photo. Not sure how I managed to take such a bad pic.
The pattern is Whitby from Nancy Bush's Knitting on the Road.

Thanks for the kind comments. I'm a bit less fit than the last time I climbed those steps, PL. Pity knitting doesn't burn more calories.
As for looking neat, you should've been there when I discovered a cable twisted the wrong way... 11 rounds (including another cable) later! I dropped the 6 stitches down, fixed the mistake, and pulled each stitch back up with a crochet hook. It looked horrendous; like some nasty beastie had chewed on it! So I had half a bottle of wine, and tried again. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and have vowed to knit under the influence more often in future!
