I finished work yesterday and have managed to finish the fronts of DD's jacket, and have started the sleeves. Had to try 3 times to get the right number of stitches, as she doesn't want the fluffy edges - doing the cuffs in rib. I'm doing both sleeves at the same time - it worked really well on the fronts. Will need to experiment on the neck as well, as she doesn't want fur on the collar either.
I've thought about doing cuffs and a collar that could popper on and off, but I'll see how it goes!!
Of course, as I'm on holiday, I have come down firstly with a tickly throat, then a bunged up chest, and now a streaming nose as well. I'm drinking as many lemsip type drinks as I'm allowed, + Ibuprofen in the appropriate intervals. Lemsip has a big spoon of honey each time - I really love that!! (And can mange to drink it all)
Today I have been knitting and doing laundry, tonorrow is finish the laundry day, + going to visit MIL and stepdaughter (separate visits)
+ I have to pack and make food for Friday's 11 hour journey to my daughter's. And select books, sweeties etc.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to knit DD's jacket on the bus - worried about losing the cable needle, so I need to pick something else to take as well
DH has just asked for 5 or 6 CD's to be uploaded onto the PC and then downloaded onto my MP3 player for him to use on Friday. All I want to do is curl up and sleep, now I don't feel like there is even any tine for that!!
So I'd better get on with it!!

Hope you get better soon, your germs sound similar to the one doing the rounds here. I have a nose like a dripping tap and couldnt stop sneezing yesterday.
Sounds like DDs cardi is well on the way to being finished. At least if it gets done there then it will be less to bring home. |

Oh dear, not so good. I think I'm going to add some cold remedies to my Christmas shop this year, there's alot of it about. Get well soon and if you feel like having a snooze, you go ahead and have one even if you have to set an alarm to wake you back up.

Thanks everyone
I've had a wee doze this evening - DH has been watching rubbish on TV anyway!!
I've kept the heating on all day, had a dressing gown over my knees (must make a nice afghan / blanket next year!!) and I've kept up the medicines and plenty of water. Now I've put the electric blanket on too, and am hoping to sweat it out tonight. I'd take a hot toddy, but whisky makes me yuk sick!! Vodka doesn't work, does it?
Managed to do 20 rows of rib and 10 of pattern on the 2 sleeves, so getting there. And I've told DH that I'm not going visiting tomorrow - he can go solo - it's more important that he sees his Mum and daughter - I can go when we get back. I don't want to pass the lurgy on, especialy Mum, she'll be 87 next week (Xmas Day)
All the laundry is done too - just ironing and packing tomorrow, and I'll do most of that while DH is out. He just moans that I take too much clothes!!
