Well I wasn't going to join in this but having separated my sockyarn stash from the rest, I realise I have far too much and this seems like a good incentive to use some up.
I have already finished a pair of socks (started Monday evening, finished last night) but I'm not going to include these as my January socks since they are in DK yarn for under wellies and are made from a very boring destash lump of boring DK yarn which was boring (but fast) to knit into some boring socks (can you tell I was bored knitting these?)
Having made these very dull socks, I am rewarding myself with knitting some matching very boring fingerless gloves although these aren't quite sooo boring to knit cos of the excitement of the fingers.

Next pair of socks will be much nicer and will be finished this month Twisted Evil

Slight problem, I just spent 3 hours in A & E having sliced my right thumb open... stitches and a big fat bandage later, I can't see me doing much knitting for the next couple of weeks, I'm having enough trouble typing!
The socks were going to be some of my Posh Yarns Sock Club stuff in a pattern to be invented along the way but thats a bit ****ed now..Major huffy stroppiness happening in the Catknit house, but at least I can join Piglottie in a notknittingalong Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
Oh and it hurts too and I can't get to sleep.

Hope your finger is feeling better!. I burned two fingers quite badly a couple of years ago and it was surprising how much difficulty I had doing day to day things.

Sounds like your thumb is better now!

The sock is very pretty with the ivory ridges - you should definitely write up the pattern - it's lovely Very Happy
