|
|
I thought I was going to wimp out on the May socks but NEEDED to have a diddy project to cart around so I started some Monkey socks from Knitty.com.
Its not often I follow a pattern but thought it might be theraputic not to need to concentrate too much.
Still in ned of a bit of a challenge and seeing someone elses link to a you tube instruction, I learnt the stretchy German Cast on for the tops then monkeyed on down the rest of the pattern. Its nice using someone elses brain for a while and sock one is finished and sock 2 is cast on (and I remembered how to do the cast on without looking )
Photo session tomorrow- the light has gone really bad today, it was a bit sunny this afternoon but now very heavy, dirty looking black clouds which would not do my sock justice
Oh and its knitted in Lana Grossa.....right, who's nicked the ball band, I left it in the kitchen....cotton blend, very soft and light weight, 1st sock only weighs 32g.
