i have to admit i do things like this too...i just pull the stitches off the needle though and then pick them up in the order they need to go to make acable...kinda living dangerously i suppose but i'm quick enough for it not to be a problem lol

If I'm doing small cables I just let the stitches hang Shocked but I think this will be usefull for bigger cables, definately quicker than using a cable needle anyway!!!
I haven't tried her method yet but its really well explained Very Happy

i'll deffo give it a go...the biggest cable i have ever tried is a 4x4 (ykwim)...but aren't there some really fab cables out there....big too...lol

I've been trying this with the twisted rib cable on Ivy which I cast on this afternoon. I was a bit cack handed to start with and lost a few stitches, but I've got the hang of it now and I think it's a good technique.
