This is my on-going projest - I've unwound it off the frame a little so's you can see it.
Now as you can see I need to sew little Fench Knots for flowers and they are little beggars these French Knots. It's not that I can't do French Knots, I've done them loads of times but not in stranded cotton, and all I end up with is a small knot not a French Knot IYSWIM
Sorry - this was the best photo I could manage - would small beads work does anyone think?

Absolutely! Before I even scrolled down, I thought BEADS! They would substitute perfectly and also make the piece your own. I have tons of them - if you only need a few it's hardly worth you buying if one of us can help you out. LMK what colour you need and I'll check my stash

Claire - that's really kind! I guess flower colours of any sort - yellows, reds lilacs pinks etc - but I'd be really grateful for a few in any colour actually _________________

Just a thought - how are you having it framed? If its under glass the framer must use spacers cos if the glass touches the beads then mould will grow and ruin your work. (I used to work for a framer)

That is beautiful work, Joy. It's amazing how much detail there is in the pictures.
I think beads would be lovely on it too.
I didn't know mould could grow under picture frames - that is a handy thing to know, Claire. _________________ Jacquie

Gosh thank you Claire I had no idea about that either that's really useful to know.
The pictures are detailed Jacquie, but the fun thing about this project is that each of the little landmarks are small projects, and aren't too daunting. This has languished unfinished for a while though, and I so want to finish it.
Thank you for your pm Claire - I've pm'd you back
