Size 15 (US) boot socks for FIL in plain stocking stitch. I did a little shaping on the leg that, with luck, will help the fit over his muscular calves. I'm used to grabbing hubby's leg whenever I need to check the size, but FIL lives 3,000 miles away, so I had to work from the measurements he sent. (Not that there's any likelihood of my going near his feet if he were closer!)

The yarn is Country Classic Yarn for Sox; colour is Blue Mix. A bit tough on the old fingers, but I hope that means they'll be hardwearing.

Thanks! Smile The yarn is thicker than I'm used to knitting with, so I figured they'd work up quickly. In actual fact, they were much slower to knit than 4-ply ones even though they were worked on the same number of stitches I usually use. Does that make sense?

The thought crossed my mind a couple of times, but I'm hoping they'll be a palm greaser if I ask him to make me a swift. Wink
